A Bit of a Unicorn

David B. has owned this 2004 Porsche 911 Turbo X50 Orient Red Metallic since December 21, 2022. Even though this is David’s 3rd 911, it is his first Turbo. He currently owns 3 Porsches: two Cayenne’s and this Turbo.  The X50 Performance Package option gives the base Turbo increased power and performance through modifications to the turbo charger, change air cooler, control units and the exhaust system, along with some other enhancements; “450 HP and 0-60 in 3.8,” adds David.

With this extra power, one would think David is ready to hit the track, but instead, he has a child seat in the back, and it is the family car. David says, “I bought it to  drive and also take my son in it. We enjoy going on trips down to the Keys, cars and coffee events and driving in the mountains, which is a blast.”

According to the PCA Porsche color wiki, rennbow.org, Orient Red Metallic rates 3 paint cans, meaning that it is somewhat rare. You will find David’s Porsche in the Orient Red Metallic photo gallery.

This Porsche was on display at Porsche West Broward during the Porsche 75th anniversary celebration.
