Porscheplatz at 12 Hours of Sebring

If the 50th Rolex 24 at Daytona was any indication, the 60th Anniversary Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida will also set some historical records. Porsche will be well represented both on the track - with the newest version of the GT3 RSR - and with facilities for Porsche owners, PCA members and race fans as well. The Sebring Porscheplatz will be located in its historic spot near the entrance to the track along turn 17.

Special Porscheplatz tickets are required to gain access to the reserved parking areas and space is limited – please order tickets in advance: online at sebringraceway.com or call 800-226-7223. Only Porsche vehicles will be permitted in the main parking area; non-Porsches will be directed to the reserved overflow area across from the Porscheplatz. Please plan to arrive early on Saturday.

All PCA members are welcome to visit the Sebring Porscheplatz. In addition to the closed-circuit television feed and cold beverages, activities include presentations from Flying Lizards Motorsports, former race winner Hans Herrmann, Mobil 1, Porsche Cars North America (on the new 991), and Michelin. Several significant door prizes will be offered; the Sebring Porscheplatz is made possible by Porsche AG, PCNA, Florida’s Porsche Dealers, and is staffed by PCA members from across the country. Should you wish to volunteer, a few select spots are still available. Contact David O’Neal, PCA’s Zone 12 Representative at PCAzone12rep@gmail.comor call 407-808-6461.

Porsche is once again offering its special Porsche Customer Hospitality Center that provides catered food (three meals per day), lounge areas, video feed from the race, Team/Sponsor presentations, driving simulators for Xbox, and a gift bag. Admission to this facility must be purchased separately from Porsche online at: porscheracingusa.com. Porsche Hospitality packages can be purchased without track admission, should you already have race tickets.

Concours D'Elegance

A concours is a judged event where cars are prepared to “as delivered” condition. Points are deducted from a maximum possible value based on condition and cleanliness. Various concours rules are used depending on the level of competition.
In simple terms, a Concours is a car show. The idea is to show your car in its most perfect condition (usually cleanliness and like new condition.) In general, each car starts out perfect and as the judge finds something amiss, points are deducted.

Gold Coast holds at least two Concours events each year that are designed to be more of a social event than a serious Full preparation Concours every aspect of your car will be examined: interior, exterior, trunk, engine, and under chassis - front and rear. They’ll look at everything, from your spare tools to the jack. Nothing will go untouched.

We leave that up to the annual Porsche Parade where several of our members are judges.

We do use these judges at our events to help members that would like to get to the Parade level. For our events we usually look at exterior only and set it up where you compete with cars in the same decade as your car.
